Hope in Romans 7 & 8 ... by DianaDee Osborne

July 31                                                                                       SUBSCRIBE

We're still laughing in our church family 2 years later
because our preacher fervently teaching 1/2 hour
on Romans 7 then declared
"but Romans 7 is followed by Romans 8" -- and
he couldn't understand at first why 200 people started
laughing...
But it's truly a great phrase! Re anything including
temptations from food or drinks-- including (gasp!)
too much COFFEE, or DIET drinks not healthy for us,
we're
"more than conquerors through Him who loved us." When we find ourselves back in Romans 7, failing
(and Romans 7 is FUN to read aloud in the
old King James Version, by the way-- a tongue twister!)
we can always find hope in God
helping us to move forward to 8 & victory!!

Here's why:
God's Supporting Word

Romans 8
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all,
how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.
34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died,
and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God,
who also makes intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  ....
Yet in all these things we are
more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels
nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Joy for us Dieters:

We get impatient with our failures ....
 But

God does not..... as long as we CHOOSE to keep moving
to believe His Word (NOT calling Him a liar!) --
believe His promises in Romans 8.             click here for link

PRAYER
LORD GOD,  I am like the father in Mark 9:24 whose son kept doing things
that would hurt himself... I BELIEVE you can do anything...
help me to **BELIEVE*** You'll answer this prayer: Save me from temptations
that are going to destroy me if You don't have mercy and help...
I pray this both humbly and in CONFIDENCE that You do NOT lie in Your word.
And I thank you.  I thank You, my LORD.
